3x the best hiking trails in Apeldoorn

Stayokay Apeldoorn is located on the edge of a large nature reserve where you can take beautiful walks. That's why we've highlighted the 3 nicest for you! And a plus point; all these walks start and end at our cozy hostel! Perfect if you stay overnight with us, but also of course handy if you feel like a nice coffee before or after your walk.

Stayokay - Berg en Bos

Stayokay Apeldoorn is located at the edge of the Berg & Bos City Park. This park is over 250 acres and is located on the edge of the Veluwe. In this park you will find the Sprengenvallei, a beautiful pond and attractions such as the Klimbos and Apenheul. Nature lovers and adventurers of all ages will find a home in the green surroundings of the Veluwe, where there is an abundance of plants, trees and animals to discover. Park Berg & Bos has been restored and renewed in recent years. A walk of about 2 hours (5.3 kilometers) gives a good impression of this beautiful park.

Stayokay - Orderbos

This 3,3 kilometer hikinh trail also passes partly through Berg & Bos City Park. In addition to this park, the route also focuses on the Orderbos. The Orderbos is a hilly recreational area with sports fields, historic lanes and roads, moors, a stream and remnants of medieval iron mining. The straight lanes and roads show the original pattern of afforestation, which started in the late 19th century.

Stayokay - Willemsbos

The last walking route runs through both Berg & Bos City Park and the Orderbos, and also picks up the Willemsbos! The Willemsbos is an area of about 150 hectares behind the Orderbos. The Orderbeek also originates in this forest. This hiking trail is slightly longer than the other two, namely 7.6 kilometers long.
